We ran existing concept cards through the criteria evaluation framework to choose the top 3 concept front runners.
Selection of Concepts:
- We went over our existing concepts again, and each rated another team member's concept out of 5 using the evaluation criteria we previously established.
- In the tutorial, teams shared their criteria evaluation frameworks
- After discussion with Ben and Peter we examined our criteria and gave them different weightings out of 5 based on what we believed the most important, 5 being the most important (Experiential:3, Interactive:5, Engaging:4, Innovative:4, Relevant to Brisbane Domestic Airport:5, Feasible:3; Original:4) .
- We all individually selected our top 3 or 4 concepts, the top 3 as a group were:
- Modular Seating
- Baggage Tracking (combined with status updates)
- AirSpoon - pre-ordering airport food
- We re-calculated the ratings based on the new weightings:
- Airspoon: 95, Modular Seating: 99, Baggage Tracking: 105. These are based on only 1 opinion and will need to bw further evaluated though user evaluation.
Concept Mapping
- We did a quick concept map using the top 8 preferred concepts, using Relaxing/fun and Interactive/Passive on the axis:
User Evaluation
- Stuart imported our bodystorming screens into the POP: Prototyping on Paper app. So we can use this in further user evaluation.
- We discussed our steps for running user evaluation on our 3 concepts. Due to the short timeframe left and our differences in schedule, we cannot all gather external users in one user group session, therefore we have to run these individually at different times.
- Process for these sessions will be to:
- Select users from a variety of user types (eg first time travellers, travellers with children, different age groups, experienced travellers, non-native English speakers, etc).
- Present the 3 concepts to user/s
- Bodystorm all 3 concepts with users
- Get feedback on what works and what needs improvement
- Get users to rate each concept and compare these using relevant criteria evaluation.
- Record findings, and present to team
- Use 'User Experience Interview' script for interviews
- Run a user evaluation session presenting and bodystorming the 3 top concepts - before Tuesday meeting next week - Everybody
